Meet Dr. Brenden Kiger, The Chiropractor To See In Greenville

“I just wish I had known then what I know now… I had no idea the healing power my own body held within.”

I had always felt like engineering was my destiny. While attending UW at Madison, I went to visit my older sister who was attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While sitting in a biomechanics class with her, I realized that I could use my background in engineering and combined that with natural health. The perfect career choice; I would be able to help others regain health, educate on how the body works, and interact with people all day long.

In 2001 I received a BS from UW at Madison. In 2004 I received my Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I really enjoyed my time at both schools. While at Palmer, I took special interest in sports injuries and extremity adjusting, especially sprains and strains of the knees and ankles.

My goal is to help my patient move towards better health. My philosophy has always been that education is the best way to help a patient move towards better health and wellness. The more I can share education and information with those I work with, the more options they will have in decision making for themselves and their families. I enjoy working with all ages; newborns to the elderly, and everyone in between.

In 2006 I married Sarah Frey, whom I met and fell in love with while at Palmer. We have a beautiful daughter, Sydney and a son, Palmer. During time away from the practice, we enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love sports, hunting, and fishing.

I lead a very active lifestyle which has me receiving chiropractic care 1-2 times per week. I enjoy working out and playing basketball. My wife and I believe in healthy eating, and focus on organic and whole foods.

The Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to Greenville residents - Chiropractor Greenville The Doctor Asks...

What are the two things drugs do?
Drugs can either speed up (laxatives, amphetamines, caffeine) a bodily process, or slow down (stomach antacids, sleep aids, antihistamines, muscle relaxers) a bodily process. Chiropractic care can produce the same results, but relies on the intelligence of the body. Chiropractors trust your body. Do you?
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
